Liefé Quârdt

So I'm pretty sure I know what I want to be when I'm older. That's right... a Life Guard! I mean it cost $10.99 and this body to become a Jr. Lifeguard, and people seem pret-ty impressed. I figure, maybe the regular Lifeguard shirt costs a bit more, but will surely be worth it.
I'm off to the South of France on Friday - should be a good break. I understand there are a number of special beaches in the South of France. I wonder if they need any Jr. Lifeguards. I bet 'Life Guard' sounds even better in French: Liefé Quârdt?

Photography Week 7

This week was pretty busy: baths, baileyboys outfit, hanging out with the wee ninja and the bee, holding stuff, impressing the ladies, hitting the beach and band practice. Part of me longs for those carefree days of my youth.

On the Town

I had my first proper night on the town last night. What a festive atmo - the scene, the noise, the peeps, the drinks, the fashion, the music, the ladies... We all got together to wish Shay a happy birthday - I can't remember how old he is, probably mid-thirties, maybe circling forty? Certainly older than me anyway.

Careless Whisper

This is obviously a shot of me doing a cover of the popular Wham! classic. I'm not saying I'm a huge fan of George Michael - but it's impossible to deny the power of that bridge.
Truth be told, I'm thinking of putting together a bit of a band myself. We'll probably be semi-pop alternative (at least at the beginning), but I'm still sorting out the line-up - if you know of anyone, do let me know. In the meantime, if you think of any good names, write them in the comments section (unfortunately The Maybe Babies is already taken - sometimes there's no comfort in the truth).

Bears

This is my impersonation of a small sleeping bear (in sweatpant shorts).
So I was on Vancouver Island on the weekend, in Victoria - good place, nice people. I must have met like 40 new people, half of whom are apparently related to me. Turns out I have absolutely no say in the matter.
Yesterday I went to see the doc again - quite a series of tests. He told me the arm is almost as good as new and is progressing nicely. In terms of stats, I'm 12 lbs 12 oz, 2 feet long, have a normal sized head, but am in the 97th percentile for weight and height. Big... like a bear.
Speaking of bears, what do you call a bear with no ears? A 'b'. I know, I know... 'Hey did I ever tell you I was born with a broken humorous?' C'mon, that's good stuff...

Island?

Just a quick update before I head off to bed. Weighed in at 12lbs 2oz today - feels good.
I've overheard that we have plans to go to an island of some sort this weekend. Not sure which one exactly - if I had my druthers I'd choose Ibiza, although that seems highly unlikely.

1 Month Old

Well, I suppose it's official - I'm 1 month old today.
It feels like only yesterday I was kicking back, having a bite and watching reruns on WombTV. Those were pretty relaxing times.
This last month has been pretty active - the last few days especially. We're out and about all the time, trying new foods, meeting new people and driving around in what can only be described as the Family Racing Car.
I thought the chilly days of May were behind us, but it seems that June is one of the colder months (hence the sweatshirt). Perhaps I'll see snow for the first time.
Thanks for all the kind wishes and fan mail - I couldn't have done it without you.

Cows!?

Last Sunday, I made my first venture out to a proper dining establishment with some friends - which was lovely. We all met at Coco et Olive (which, I believe is French for Coco and Olive) - I think my parents are preparing me for our trip to France in 4 weeks.
We started talking food of course, and I was shocked to learn that the milk people use for cereal and coffee and cooking and general drinking is actually from Cows. Cows!? It seemed I was the only one at the table that found this strange. My first question was whether we had a deal with the cows where we did tradesies... apparently not. Am I the only one who thinks it's madness to go out for milk (from the body of a cow no less) when you've got a perfectly good source at home? It's messed up.
Just to keep you posted, I weighed in at 11lbs 10oz yesterday. By all accounts, I'm ginormous.

May Weekend

I had a pretty nice little Saturday, it has to be said. Met a nice lady... which was lovely. It seemed that despite a couple of differences (she's got a good 6 months on me), we had quite a bit in common. Devan's adventurous, bold and enjoys photography and the odd beverage. We talked a little about parents and family, and how we couldn't believe May was already behind us. Both of us seem to have big plans for June - we agreed to compare notes mid-month to see how we're coming along.
